Getting your website to work for you
I would recommend you start by adding your site to our web directory which in turn will assist you with a google ranking. Some of you may well be on www.nzwebz.co.nz already so search first . Next if you haven't done so already read this page
It is very important to have as many back links to your website as possible hence the reason people list their site on web directories and other sites that share common interests. This does take time but it pays off. Don't try and list on everybody on the same day as its tiring and boring. Just do one a day but make sure you do one every day for as long as you can.
Also you can swap links or banners with other companies by asking them in an email. i.e a metal garage company could ask to swap links or banners with a security company as customers would require both services, a mobile car mechanic website could swap links with an insurance company as once again both services are used.
Caution......Back links on non related sites with poor PR (check websites page ranking here) don't necessarily help you and can in fact hurt your ranking so be mindful of who you swap links with. Ensure they have some PR at least
